I was given some sample packs of the Sheer Glowing by my friends. While I don't have classic dry skin, I do like to use products that will give moisture and hydration to my skin.
This BB cream isn't as thick in consistency as other BB creams that I use.
Despite that fact, it provides amazingly good coverage, which is not all that common in BB creams. I would say that the color of it falls more in the neutral zone, not too yellow and not too pink. Unfortunately, it does come in only one shade and I think that it's more suited to people in the NC 20 range. I fall in the NC 25 range--actually if there was a NC 27, I think that's where I'd be. Unlike most BB creams, the color doesn't turn ashy at all!
Face prepped and primed
BB cream applied to half of face. You can see it's too light for my skin tone.
Face fully covered with BB cream.
I often have products oxidize on my so I was hoping that this would oxidize and become better matched to my skintone.
This is take after 2 hours of wear, which is often the timing of when products will have oxidized on me.
Face vs. neck--really obvious difference. *sigh*
Unfortunately, it does not. I really like this BB cream. It provides excellent coverage without feeling heavy, it doesn't turn ashy and I think that it gives off a nice glow to my skin. If I ever manage to get my neck paler, this is definitely a BB cream that I would use. While I don't normally use powder, I wonder if I can use a darker shade powder around the edges of my face to create a darker shading to match. Yes, that is how much I like this BB cream.
Have a happy Easter weekend everyone!

@sugar sugar--Thank you! Awww--you're so lucky that this is the correct color for you. I really do like the consistency, coverage and everything about this BB cream. It's just way too light for me.

omg we could be mac shade twinsies =D lol unless i got lighter
but i'm liking the coverage~ definitely going to look into it =]
awww most bb creams are too pale :/ and i think some of their textures are too heavy to use during summer as well!
Ohhh didn't know EH's bb cream is that good. you look so different with the bb cream on. very good coverage! most bb creams oxidized, gotta agree with you,but surprisingly this didn't.
Whoa that is great coverage + lasting power! Do you think that maybe you could put a bit of BB on the neck to make it slightly paler? To me your neck doesn't look that much lighter than the face.... good luck!

PS I may need to give Etude another chance!
@Steph--*High Five* to being shade twinsies! The coverage on this BB cream is definitely great!
*Kat*
@Jennifer--I'm finding them either too pale, to ash-y or too orange. *sigh* The coverage on this one was great and it felt lightweight at the same time.

@heartbreaker--This EH BB cream is really good. If you get a chance to check it out, I'd recommend it.

@BV--I hadn't thought about putting some of it on my neck. Thanks for the idea. I just kept on thinking about your post where you were wondering why Korean women liked to have their face so much paler than they actually are. LOL! Interestingly, in real life, the difference between my neck and face wasn't quite as obvious as it is in the picture.

I found a BB cream that works for our skin tone, i.e. for yellow undertones. I have been using Nanoce BB Cream for a few months now, and it works great! Although I find Healthy Ochre (the darker shade) might be a tad darker than my skin now, but it shall work great for the summer! Since both of us are constantly trying to find a bb cream that suits our own skin tone, I suggest that you should check it out =D.

this looks like a great base, Kathy! I have tried etude house bb cream once and it didnt work out for me... but its great to see it's worked fabulous on you!!
@Rica--Does the Healthy Ochre oxidize and turn orange on you later on in the day? I've been reading that it does, although I'm quite sure I would be able to use the lighter color. I'm really curious about it especially since Nic Nic loves it so much
*Kat*
@Nic Nic--I've been hearing about how people haven't been able to use some of the other the Etude House BB creams. It seems that this one works out okay for them though. I think that this color would work out really nicely on you.
*Kat*
@Kat I don't notice that, although the staying power is not that great on me anyway. I'm probably going to buy the lighter shade though, since the darker shade is slightly darker than me right now. I want to have the lighter one so that I can mix. But the thing is, I just ordered two Skin79 BB Cream and got a Clinique BB Cream from Asia as a present. I don't think I'll need another one any time soon LOL

@Rica--Thanks for the input. It's good to know that you didn't notice any orange-y tone to you after wearing it for a while.
