Gift/Purchase Review: Lioele Dollish Veil Vita BB Cream

Recently a reader and I traded a couple of packages. In hers, she included a sample of the Lioele Dollish Veil Vita BB Cream in 2 Natural Green. I tried it and liked it so much that I made a purchase from Pretty & Cute. I ordered it late at night on August 10th, so it was probably already early morning on the 11th in Oregon. My order was shipped out on the 11th and I received it in the mail yesterday, the 15th! That is really quick service! This is probably only the 2nd time that I've ordered from them but I've never had anything but a pleasant experience.

It comes in a really cute pink container.

Love the fact that it has a pump dispenser!

This is the ingredients:

This is the instructions:

Although it says that it can be used as a BB cream foundation, I find it a bit too light to be used that way but it's great as a primer. Because it is green, it is color correcting especially for any redness.

Bare faced

I find that it evens out my skin tone and even helps to diminish the light darkness under my eyes and helps to lighten the dark spot on my cheek.

Right after application

After BB cream has been on for at least 10 minutes

According to another site, the vitamins in it are: A, B5, C, E, F and H. Vitamin A (Retinol) helps to make the skin elastic. Vitamin B5 (Pantenol), controls oil and moisture into the skin. Helps to make moist and smooth skin texture. Vitamin C (Ascorbyl Glucoside) helps to improve from within, dull skin tone. Vitamin E (Tocopheryl Acetate) helps to make your skin moisturized and healthy. Vitamin F (Tocopheryl Linoleate) helpst to protect you skin from external radicals. Vitamin H (Biotin) improves rough skin for a smoother skin texture.

As a makeup base, I find that it really helps to keep my foundaton stay put. Even though it's been quite muggy, my makeup hasn't melted.

After concealing and apply Hada Labo BB cream as foundation
Note: I didn't apply concealer under my eyes, just on the dark spot on cheek

This is from the other day but this is after 8 hrs of wear and no touching up

I had read that it gives a matte finish, which worried me quite a bit but I don't find that it's matte. I think if anything, it might be semi matte. I recently tried Shu Uemura's mousse base and it was really matte! Didn't like it at all.

I'm not sure if it's the vitamins in this BB cream, but I have noticed that my skin does appear to be healthier and smoother even after using it for only a week. I don't think it's my imagination.

This also comes in 1 Purple, which is supposed to help brighten dull skin tone. I got a sample of this with my order and will be trying it out. I just checked Pretty & Cute's website and it seems that this is out of stock. Hopefully it'll be restocked soon.

Thank you to Sandy for introducing me to this BB cream.

@Georgina--Thank you! It was also the first time that I've heard of color correcting BB cream so I'm thankful that Sandy sent a sample to me. I hope that you'll be able to find it the next time you go abroad.

England has just discovered BB cream and I am seeing all sorts of brands now. Its great although I still prefer Asian brands. BB primers and finishers look even more interesting. After 8 hours your skin still looks great. No setting powder? I find BB creams transfer easily without it. x

This looks great on you!
I love how it's a colour correcting BB cream, so it's not another layer of 'MU' on your face but something beneficial too (if that makes sense :P) I tend to find colour correcting products are quite drying on my skin, but this looks exciting. Shame Liole products are hard to access here.

Hi, I recently discovered your blog! Thanks for introducing me to Pretty and Cute. I actually live in Portland and had never heard of the place. It is in a pretty odd location, so I called to make sure they were really there! I am definitely going to go check it out soon.

@Kei Kei--So far I'm finding that I have better luck with Japan brands of BB creams to use as a foundation but the Korea brands are better for me for priming purposes. I never used to use powder to set because it would make my face too matte but since I started using Hada Labo BB Moist Cream, I did find that I needed to set it. I discovered that Cle de Peau loose translucent powder is really finely milled and won't settle into fine lines nor make me look too matte. Guerlain Meteorite Perles are come off finely milled plus give me some illumination so that's my choice of powder for now.

@Nic Nic--I'm really glad that I was sent a sample of this primer by another reader of this blog. It's through reading blogs and readers of this blog that I have discovered many wonderful, new products. (Like the Hada Labo BB Moist Cream from you!)

@Vicky--I totally understand what you mean! It's a multi-tasking product so that makes it even better, especially since it works so well.

Ohhh green bb??? the pictures of it applied and 10 minutes after are amazing!!! It brightens and conceals so well && with the concealer and hado labo bb it's flawless!!! I can guarantee with my current make up routine 8hrs and no touch up would not look like that on my face =p lol looks really good!!!

@Steph--Thank you! I'm really, really liking this so far. You know how sometimes at first you like something and then after using it for more than 2 weeks, you find it isn't as awesome as you thought? Hopefully that won't happen.

I have tested a colour correcting BB cream on the back of my hand. It was fabulous at brightening but rather lacking coverage wise.

The Lioele one is tempting me though, since it even refined the texture of your skin! Must visit my local Lioele counter asap! Thanks for sharing, Kat!

@Blair--This Lioele one is great as a primer but definitely not as a BB cream to use alone. There will not be enough coverage.

I hope that you find it works nicely for you too.
