Creative Idea: Swifter Dry Sweeper Refill

Just so you know, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth! I am here but these past couple of months have been pretty crazy. We've had some things happen within our house so we now have a room that has freed up. This means that we can empty it and despite the fact that it's not a very large room, we've already boxed up and gotten rid of 50 boxes of items and it doesn't seem to have made much of a dent. We've also been clearing up my son's vacated room and have changed it up a bit in preparation for our home stay student. With all of this cleaning and disturbing of years of accumulated dust (with probably mold and mildew mixed in) I have been getting sick constantly and left with no energy.

But enough of my sob story! I am here today with a quick post and decided to do a Creative Idea one. I have to admit that I love Swifter Dry Sweep Refill sheets. I almost never use it on the Swifter gadget as I prefer to just use it as a sheet and dust by hand with it.

I also find it to be very handy to use in the realm of beauty products. It's great to use when you have a powdered mess of fly away eyeshadow, blush, powder foundation or powder. I quick swipe using the swifter dry sheet and it picks it up in a jiffy. I also like to use it in my palettes. You know how your palettes normally come with a plastic protector sheet? With the magnetic palettes  that I have, I cut a swifter dry sheet to size and use that instead.

The nice thing about it is that it will pick up the excess powder that can be left behind after using a color. Oftentimes these can migrate to other pans but not when you use the Swifter sheet.

Another plus is if your palette has a mirror on the cover, it stays nice and clean with the Swifter dry sheet in place.

There are other brands of dry sweep refill sheets out on the market and I'm sure that they will work just as well. I just happen to always purchase the Swifter brand.

In case you are wondering, yes that is my Urban Decay NAKED palette that I depotted. There is also some other depotted eyeshadows and a blush and bronzer in the palette but it's not seen in the picture.

If you decide to try this, please let me know how it works out for you.
