I just remembered as I was putting on my makeup this morning that I wanted to include in my previous post's report something that I learned about foundation.
I am not sure how many of you are lucky enough to have vanities in your bedroom. I think that many women in Hawaii do their makeup in the bathroom with their products on the counter, as mine is. Ms. Pham said that if you keep your foundation in the bathroom--I'm pretty sure that she was referring to liquid foundation and not sure if it also applies to other foundations--you are ruining your foundation. Your foundation should be good for one year after opening it but will be good from at least half way through if stored in the bathroom. The reason for this is every time we shower, the room gets hot and condensation builds up inside the bottles. The water from the condensation ruins it. If you've ever had a foundation that had perhaps 1/4 or 1/8 left and noticed that the formulation looked a bit funky and need a lot of shaking to mix it, then it's probably the result of all of the build up of daily condensation.
I will start storing my foundation in the bedroom and carry it with me into the bathroom to do my makeup from now on.

Hey Nic Nic, you're lucky to have enough space outside of your bathroom. I took all of my foundations out and thought about it while at work today. I came home and took out my BB creams as well.

Good thing I've never left it in the bathroom. I have to share the bathroom with the whole family, so I keep everything in my room and bring it to the bathroom every time I put on make-up.
I suppose there is an up side to everything.
Mari, that's great positive thinking! I like that. It's good that you haven't kept it in the bathroom. Thanks for commenting!
