Purchase Review: Tony Moly 7 Days Tatoo Eyebrow Pen

I don't know why but I seem to have a mental block against doing an eyebrow post. I've been wanting to do one for months but haven't done so and I had gone through several different eyebrow products that I thought I'd review. It's probably because I have the ugliest, practically non-existent eyebrows ever. Hopefully I'll do a post on how I do my eyebrows but giving you fair warning--it's scary!

For the past few months, actually close to a year, I've been on the lookout for a good eyebrow product that would be somewhat natural looking and waterproof as well as smudge proof. I thought, several times, that I found THE product but then moved on to something else. I had really been wanting to try the K-Palette Real Lasting Liquid Eyebrow Pen since I really love the eyeliner pen. After reading some reviews online, I came across this Tony Moly 7 Days Tatoo Eyebrow. (That's how they spell it.) The reviews said that it was very much similar to the K-Palette one. I decided to try it mainly because I could go to the store and buy it instead of having to order it online--I wanted instant gratification.

There is only one color, which is 02 Dark Brown. At first I found it a bit too dark but I've gotten used to it. As you can see, it's like a fine sharpie pen. I really like it because it's quite pigmented and easy to use, once you get used to using it. I had tried the NYX pen but it was a much fatter tip and I felt that it was harder to work with and didn't give as natural a look. For my inner eyebrows, I can make quick, short strokes to imitate eyebrow hairs. Once I do most of the filling in, I can fill in sparse spots by kind of dotting it in. I find that if I go in the opposite direction that the hair normally grows in, it looks more natural, although most would advise in drawing in the direction the hair grows.

While the name says 7 day tattoo, it really doesn't last 7 days. In fact, it does seem to wipe off rather easily and I can rub it off. I will say though that if I apply it to clean skin, with no skin care products, then I can go to sleep with it on and do some light touching up in the morning, which is what I wanted for those morning when I know I'm going to be in a rush. Otherwise, I normally apply it after I do my normal skin care routine.

I have just placed an order for Canmake liquid eyebrow pens, in 2 different colors. I'll try to do a review on them some time after I get it and have a chance to try it out.

I'm really surprised you like this. I have this at the top of my worst products I've ever tried list...not only did was it not even close to dark brown IMO, when I washed my face it was red on my skin...I hate this product with a passion...like, I can't think of a worse product honestly.

@Sample Hime--Thank you for reading and your comment. Isn't interesting how something will not work for one person and yet will work for another? I find this dark brown to be quite pigmented and if I'm not careful, it can be almost black. Have you found an eyebrow pen that has worked for you? If so, please share!

@Yasumi--It takes a while to get used to working with it, but once you do, it is so easy! I even got my mom into using it. LOL! The next time I go to Japan, all that I want to do is shop! Don't think the hubs will be wanting to do that though.

@Anonymous--Hi there! I'm sorry, I do not know where you are located but I am in Hawaii and found it in the store here. There are actually 2 locations here but I've only gone to one. I've been lucky in getting it because I do understand that it sells out quickly. Please email me if you need any more info or help getting one. galpal.hi@gmail.com

I've been using Tony Moly for a couple of years now and I love it! It can last a few days granted if you don't scrub your brows in the shower, but you'll get the best results from a CLEAN eyebrow area. I have eyebrow tattoos so this is just a touch up for me. Before I use the pen, I always clean that area real well so that the skin is dry and easily absorbs the pen color. After it dries, I pat it with a little bit of powder to soften the look. My brows never bleed or smear, or come off. They also last in a pool and if I sweat. I highly recommend this and it's the best thing on the market for eyebrows. In my opinion of course. I've purchased more expensive eyebrow things like this, and none of them come close!
