Gift Review: Nanoce BB Moist Cream

My friends were in Japan about a month ago and brought back the Nanoce BB Moist Cream in Healthy Ochre for me. Nic Nic had been raving about this BB cream and I was certainly curious about it.

Healthy Ochre is the darker of the two colors that are available.

Nanoce applied to half face

Nanoce applied to whole face

Face makeup fully done

After 12 hours of wear, only nose touched up by powder

When I first opened my package (it was fully sealed), my first thought was that the tube isn't fully filled. A lot of air came out when I tried to squeeze the product out.  It is a 1.4 oz/40 g tube. It comes out rather thickly but applies nicely. Some people have complained about the scent but I think that it's okay. It reminds me a bit of Noxema cream (really aging myself here). It mentally makes me feel that it's sanitizing. The scent dissipates almost immediately. It is quite moisturizing and I feel that I have to set it with powder. I use Guerlain Meteorite Pearls. The coverage is quite good and lasting power is good as well. I think that it does fade a bit but I know that I'm asking a lot to have foundations last 12 hours or longer. I think that the color match is a good one for me. It does oxidise ever so slightly.

In comparison with Hada Labo BB Moist Cream in Natural Ochre, I find both BB creams to be very, very similar.

The Hada Labo cream is does not come out quite as thick as the Nanoce but I think that despite it being less thick, it does cover better than Nanoce. I also think that Hada Labo is a slight bit pink whereas Nanoce is slightly more yellow. After 12 hours of wear, Hada Labo holds up better than Nanoce. I really like both BB creams a lot. If I had to rate them, then I would say that Hada Labo is #1 and Nanoce is #2. It is really a close call though and I'm happy using either one.

Ooooh, I've always wanted Nanoce after reading Nic Nic's blog, but your review is making me lean towards Hada Labo! Did you try the emulsion version or just the cream?

@Nic Nic--Thank you again for the lovely gift of the Hada Labo BB cream. It really is my favorite--color, coverage and wearability--it covers it all. Thank you for the offer of being able to ask you to pick another bottle up when I need it.

@Blair--I only tried the cream version. Nic Nic did try the emulsion version but I think that she wasn't too impressed with it. She wrote in her comment (right above you) that perhaps she'll try giving it a try again.

Ahh the Nanoce BB moist cream wears well on you! After 12 hours of wear in my case it's almost completely gone! I have it in 01 and it's a bit too light and has a tendency to slide off my face. I have gone with EL double wear actually now, but I find that if I apply it with anything except a damp blending sponge it accentuates my pores on my nose! :O I don't know if you ever had any problems with the EL double wear in terms of that?

But it's good that it is very comparable to the Hada Labo BB Moist!

Thank you for the review. I'd like to purchase this BB cream, since I read so fantastic reviews about it. The only thing I am not sure is the color, ughhh. Anyway, really helpful review.

@Jian--I used to use EL Double Wear and really liked it. I also used to use Revlon Color Stay and loved it too. Both became too drying though as I got older. I believe that Revlon did come out with a Color Stay that is moisturizing but I haven't checked it out.

@Sandy--I'm about a MAC NC25-30, if that helps. The Nanoce Healthy Ochre color is the darker shade and that is what I'm using.

Kat, thank you so much. Yes, it helps. I am about NW20-25, and now, in the summer, about NW25-30. I think I will give it a try. Thank you! If it is too dark, I will mix it with a white BB cream.

Great review! I really do like the Nanoce BB cream. It's more natural compared to other BB creams I've tried.

@Sandy--I'm glad that my little bit of info was helpful. I hope that the BB cream works out for you as well as it has on me.

@Rainy Days and Lattes--Thank you! Yes, I totally agree that it's more natural as far as the coloring goes. It fits me very well.

Really appreciate the comparisons on the bb creams. I too am NC25-30 but more yellower. How does Revlon's BB Moisturizing Cream compare with Nanoce and Hada Labo in terms of undertone and coverage? I've tried US available lines like Revlon's FIT line and Colorstay but they're too pale pink beige or reddish orange.

@Yumi--Sorry for the late reply. It's been so long since I've used the Revlon BB cream that I can't really remember much about it. I do remember that it is quite a bit more yellow than Nanoce. I also think that Hada Labo and Nanoce offer heavier coverage than Revlon.
