EOTD: Dior Extase Pinks--Take 2

In my previous post, I did an EOTD using a unique technique. I didn't quite like how it turned out because it ended up being too shimmery on me, plus I think that the color combinations turned out a little too muted for my liking. Also when I was posting that entry, I realized that I should have taken a single picture of what that swirling technique looked like. ashura commented and asked what color it ended up turning out to be so I decided to do another EOTD.

Products used:

UDPP in Eden
Dior 5 color palette in Extase Pinks
EcoTools Blush Brush
MAC Print
Canmake Cover and Stretch Concealer UV
K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner

I primed my eyelids using UDPP in Eden this time. Last time I used Sin and I think that's why it came out too shimmery. It's much better using Eden.

Scary, almost naked eye

Using my EcoTools Bamboo Blush Brush and the Dior Extase Pinks palette, I loaded the brush with color by swirling the brush around the whole palette. I then applied it to my entire lid from lashline to eyebrows.

The color seems to come out to a silvery color. It's interesting to me how it automatically highlights the browbone.

Using the purple from Extase Pinks, I applied it on the inner half of upper eyelid from lashline to just above the creaseline. The charcoal color is applied on outer half of upper eyelid from lashline to just above the crease. MAC Print is applied on outer corner of upper eyelid in a "V" shape. Pink from Extase Pinks is dotted onto the middle of the eyelid. I also very lightly applied the purple in the contour area from the inner eye blending towards the middle. Using the light pink from Extase Pinks, I very lightly touched up the browbone.

I then finish my face makeup by cleaning up any fallout, if there is any and applying Canmake Concealer to under eye area, blending it down into cheeks. Foundation of choice is then applied to lower half of face and blending it upwards into temple and forehead. (Today I happened to use Temptu.)

Pink is used to line the inner half of lower lashline and Print lines the outer half. K-Palette eyeliner lines the upper lashline and  outer 1/3 of lower lashline. I decided to use no mascara today so I just swiped on Talika Lipocils.

I like the way that this EOTD turned out much better than the previous one.

I think they both look great, but you can definitely see the colors better with eden. :)

I should try this with a shimmery quad I have. :)

Thanks for sharing this great idea.

You are right! This version is less shimmery, which I like better, and the colors look more intense.

thesungirl--Thank you. I really do like the way that this EOTD turned out. Definitely less shimmery with Eden.

Yes, try this technique with the palette that you have and let me know how it turns out.

You really need to thank Haru of Rouge Deluxe since she was the one who originally posted this technique from a demo she attended.

I like this take-2 it's a bit more sophisticated since it's less shimmery. Have a great weekend Kathy!

Thanks Nic Nic! We're in agreement that this Take 2 is much better than my first attempt. I hope that you had a great weekend.
