Dior EOTD

Today's EOTD wasn't done by me but was done by Tasha, my Dior MUA at Nordstrom. I will soon be attending a reunion of sorts and I wanted to get some new makeup ideas. I wanted something that would go well with black and sapphire blue, which is the color of my outfit. This is what she came up with:

Items used were:
5-Colour Designer Eye Palette
   208 Navy Design
   708 Amber Design (For highlighting)
5-Colour Iridescent Eye Shadow
708 Tropical Light (Green shadow for inner eyelids)
2-Colour Eye Shadow
055 Cocktail Look (Dark shadow for outer corner)

I really like the look of this EOTD. It makes my eyes look bigger in low light, which is what the setting is going to be for this reunion. I took no pictures of the eye shadow palettes because I didn't buy any yet. Tasha told me that if I have similar colors at home, then I can use those. I can do something very similar using MAC and Maquillage shadows so I will try that first. I did buy a couple of other things that I needed, like new Clarisonic brushes.

Thanks Nic Nic. I wish that I could do it on my own but I always have trouble. It ALWAYS comes out goofy.

Hi Kat

Very sophisticated look! I love the winged eyeliner - hope the reunion goes well!! I've always heard Hawaii was full of gorgeous men (why do you think I want to go there - heh (that's a joke too btw!) - so I hope there is scoping!!

You've got me interested in Dior now... I'm checking them out next week after work! hehehe

Thanks BV! Yeah, I wish that I could do the winged eyeliner well but I have problems. One eye doesn't match the other eye when I do it.

I ended up doing my eyes with similar colors from MAC and Maquillage and I actually liked the coloring of it better with these over the Dior 208 palette. I didn't take any pics but maybe I can do it again and post an EOTD.

I'm finding that the Dior 5-color eye shadow palettes remind me of the Lunasol eye shadow quads. The pigmentation on both are quite similar and looking through the various color palettes, they do seem to be kind of similar too.

Yes, please come to Hawaii and scope out the guys here. I'll have to admit that there are good looking men here--it's gotta be the mixture of ethnicities. When you do come, I'll take you to all of the good scoping places. LOL!

The reunion went well...really small group since it was very informal and last minute. Many of the women there still looked amazing!
