Personal: Newest Member of the Family

For my Christmas present, my husband said that he would buy a kitten for me. I've been searching around for a kitten that I liked but hadn't been able to find one. Finally we were able to adopt one from our local humane society. She is a Himalayan mix, only 2 months old. We named her Hime chan. Hime means Princess in Japanese. She is exactly that! We picked her up this morning and she has been just a curious bundle of energy, exploring all over the house and hasn't been shy or scared at all. She purrs easily and has a very dainty meow. She is so busy, that it has been difficult to get a cute picture of her. We are all enjoying her.

BV,

Yes, she is a ton of fun! She plays and plays and is just a bundle of energy. She loves hanging around people. She is like a dog in that she follows you all over the place. I'm so glad that we got to adopt her.

Thanks Lisa! I took her to the vet today and even the nurses there were going nuts over her. They were saying how lucky I was to be able to find her at the Humane Society.

Yes, I think that Hime chan would like that! Actually, she would probably like you even more. She is definitely a "people" cat. She likes hanging out. I haven't introduced her to the dog yet. I don't think he will like her much. Plus, she freaked out when she heard him barking. (He's in a fenced enclosure outside.)
